The 55th Annual Sports Meet of National Public School, Gopalapuram, Chennai, for the academic year 2024-25, was held with much enthusiasm and grandeur. It was graced by the presence of the esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Johnson Premkumar, Principal of YMCA College of Physical Education and Mr. Hari Krishnan, CEO of National Public Schools.

The event commenced with an invocation followed by a warm welcome address by the Principal Mrs. Sujatha Bokka. Mohamed Arshaan Miyan, Sports Secretary, and Rhea Chandra, Assistant Sports Secretary, felicitated the Chief Guest. The Cubs and Bulbuls greeted the Chief Guest, marking the beginning of the grand March Past. The school band showcased their musical talents as the contingents marched forward. The parade was led by the Sports Secretary, Mohamed Arshaan Miyan, along with the School Pupil Leaders, Sai Sharan and Heeba, and the Assistant Sports Secretary, Rhea Chandra. Each house was guided by its captain and vice-captain.

The event saw several demonstrations and drill performances across various grades. Students of grades 1 to 12 showcased rhythmic, coordinated and energetic movements demonstrating their control, teamwork and fitness. The human pyramid was remarkably displayed symbolising teamwork, unity, and balance. Following the drills, the track events were conducted which displayed the athletic skills of the students.

The Chief Guest, Dr. Johnson Premkumar, and CEO Mr. Hari Krishnan, presented the awards for various events which were conducted. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by the National Anthem. The 55th Annual Sports Meet was a great success, fostering sportsmanship, teamwork, and discipline among the students. It was a day filled with excitement, energy, and a true spirit of competition.
