The Student Council Election and Investiture Ceremony 2026–2027 at National Public School, Gopalapuram, celebrated leadership, democracy, and responsible citizenship with great enthusiasm.

The election process commenced with nominations and the scrutiny of candidates based on academic performance, discipline, leadership qualities, punctuality, and overall conduct. The shortlisted candidates shared their vision for the school through inspiring campaign speeches.

On 29 June 2026, students of Grades VIII to XII, along with teachers and members of the school faculty, cast their votes through a custom-designed digital voting portal developed by Grade XII students Abhinav Karthik, P. R. Sanjana, N. Rishvan Naren, and Gurucharan Ravi under the guidance of the Computer Science Department and the Senior Leadership Team. The secure, user-friendly platform ensured a transparent, efficient, and seamless election process while showcasing the students' technical expertise.

The Investiture Ceremony, held on 10 July 2026, was graced by Colonel Hariteja Tadepalli, Group Commander, Chennai 'A' Group, National Cadet Corps (NCC), as the Chief Guest. In his inspiring address, he urged the newly elected student leaders to uphold discipline, integrity, responsibility, and selfless service.

The election results were officially announced by the school leadership, following which the Chief Guest invested the newly elected Student Council members by ceremonially pinning the badges of office, symbolising the trust and responsibility entrusted to them.

The programme also featured the outgoing leaders' valedictory address, a patriotic instrumental performance by students, the address by the newly elected Student Pupil Leader, and the solemn Oath-Taking Ceremony.

The event concluded on a note of pride and optimism, marking the beginning of a new chapter of student leadership committed to upholding the values, vision, and traditions of National Public School, Gopalapuram.
