The Graduation Day for the 2022 batch of Grade 12 students of National Public School, Gopalapuram, was conducted at the school premises on 28th March, 2022. Dr Kamakoti Veezhinathan, Director IIT Madras, presided over the function. Dr. K.P. Gopalkrishna, Chairman, National Public Group of schools and Mr. Hari Krishnan, Chief Executive Officer, National Public Group of Schools, were the guests of honour. Ms Sudha Balan, Principal NPS International, Chennai and Ms Aparna Iyer, Director, GMC graced the occasion.

After the traditional lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries, the Principal, Ms Sujatha Bokka formally welcomed the gathering. The cultural ensemble of NPS enthralled the audience with their music and dance performances. While delivering the convocation address, the Chief Guest spoke about the present-day scenario where the students script their success stories by choosing from the wide range of avenues available today - like BSc Data Science in IIT. The Chairman in his message stressed the need for the students to maintain their value systems in whatever field they chose to excel themselves. Mr. Hari Krishnan addressed the students and reiterated the significance of practice, resilience, grit and determination to climb the ladder of success.

After the oath taking ceremony, the students were declared graduates by the Principal. This was followed by the candle lighting ceremony and the rendering of the school anthem by the students.

Nilesh Karthikeyan was awarded the Best Outgoing Student of the Year andss S Venithra received the value-oriented conduct award.

Parents also shared their perspective on the memorable times and experiences of their children in the school. Shreya Jagannathan’s vote of thanks was a fitting finale to the solemn occasion.
