Bharatiyar Vizha celebrations began with Tamizh thai vazhthu. The theme chosen for this year was ‘Women Empowerment in Bharatiyar Songs’. This was followed by a speech and a skit in Tamil explaining the greatness of Subramania Bharati. There was a music medley of bharathiyar songs describing the greatness of our country. The four houses (Brilliance, Eminence, Excellence and Radiance) excelled each other with their brilliant dance performances. The programme ended with a Group dance glorifying Tamil language.
